Old Saybrook, CT – Jan. 23, 2024 – Infiltrator Water Technologies, a leading manufacturer of products for the decentralized water and wastewater industries, is pleased to announce the expansion of the ECOPOD residential advanced wastewater treatment product line with the ECOPOD-NX.
The ECOPOD-NX is a Moving Bed BioReactor (MBBR) that incorporates an airlift assembly for recirculating the wastewater; the combination of the MBBR disc media and recirculation process enables the system to achieve 80% Total Nitrogen (TN) reduction. The ECOPOD-NX has been certified to NSF/ANSI 40 and NSF/ANSI 245 Standards.
“This new single-tank ECOPOD-NX is one of the highest performing nitrogen treatment systems in the industry. It can reduce the TN in a household wastewater to less than 10 mg/L,” said Carl Thompson, Vice President Sales and Advanced Treatment of Infiltrator Water Technologies. “The ECOPOD-NX can be installed in a single tank configuration utilizing an Infiltrator IM-1530 septic tank.”
The ECOPOD-NX is available to treat residential wastewater flows of 500 gallons per day; larger sizes are in development.
